So there it is-the delay has to do with licensing issues with artists and music labels. So I can't really announce any specific on this other than to say that we're in constant dialogue with our partners to bring this to market. On January 7, 2022, a moderator from the company responded with an update that gives no actual information on when the tier may become available: Users have expressed frustration over the delay online, including on the Spotify Community site.
Spotify hasn't shared any details about a launch date or even a period in which you can expect it. Since then, everyone has been speculating why Spotify HiFi had been delayed and when the streaming service would make this tier available.
Spotify talked up this tier, promising a great experience with CD-quality, lossless audio streaming. In February 2021, Spotify announced that it would be releasing a HiFi tier, but we're yet to see (or rather, hear) it.
